Mary Hobbs
Marketing Manager
Company name

Dear Mrs Hobbs,

I am currently in the second year of my Marketing and Communications degree at Brighton University and I’m keen to maintain the momentum of my course with a summer internship.

Your company comes highly recommended by my tutors as an exciting and forward thinking business that not only understands the value of internships but positively builds on the knowledge gained within the degree course framework.

I am a hardworking and enthusiastic individual with a passion for marketing that is growing with every new experience within the industry. I believe that my desire to listen, input and above all learn makes me an ideal candidate for your internship programme.

I am experienced in the overall marketing process from planning to implementation and I have successfully overseen a University funded marketing project designed to build awareness of local businesses offline and via digital channels. I understand the importance of confident, clear communication with the client and the delivery of marketing solutions that explore new and innovative channels.

I am on course for a 2:1 honours Marketing and Communications degree, and I strongly feel with the knowledge and expertise your company could provide, I should be able to achieve or even surpass that predicted grade.

I would love the opportunity to discuss the possibility of joining your internship program as well as the value I feel I could add in return. I have enclosed my CV and very much hope to meet you in the near future.

Yours sincerely,

Your Name.
