General Mills may not be not a familiar brand name in the UK. However, if we asked you to connect the brands Haagen-Dazs, Green Giant and Old El Paso, would you come up with General Mills? Well that would be the right answer. General Mills is one of he worlds largest food companies, but with a particular heart and soul.
Firstly, those household brands:
Some very familiar and yummy names ! And not just that, also hugely successful in the UK. Our brands have been in the UK since 1960, building fans and appetites for: –
- Green Giant sweet corn, the No. 1 canned vegetable brand
- Haagen Dazs setting the standard for super premium ice cream
- Nature Valley is already the top crunchy snack bar brand in the UK and Ireland, even though it was only launched in 2006
- Old El Paso is the region’s leading Mexican food brand
- Petit Filous always a nostalgic favourite!
Ever wondered how that success is achieved and sustained? Well, we at here at Intern Avenue are not experts in brand and shopper marketing, but readily accept that the great team at General Mills most certainly are.
The team are not only behind that continued UK growth, but are keen to share that know-how with their next generation of leaders! All sorts of new language and disciplines to understand – brand, categories, convenience, shopper (no really, that means something specific!) – all of which can be learnt in their internships currently available!
