I am very interested in starting an Accounting Intern opportunity as it would be a perfect chance regarding my future career in the Business field, specifically Management and Accounting. Communication and interpersonal skills are areas that I managed to improve during my student experience. This derives from a variety of seminar tasks including presentations and discussion of class topics. During my job as a Graduation Marshal and Student Helper at University, I learned that team work is an essential element in any organisation in order to ensure that the delivery of excellent customer service is cohesive and in line with company policy. My experience in university group coursework has also ensured that I have become a more confident and highly motivated individual, able to prioritise my work load and meet strict deadlines.
I believe that I would be a right candidate for this position because I am very outgoing, friendly person and enjoy meeting new people. I am sure in my ability to become a great asset to any Accounting and Finance company as the job requirements are totally in line with my education and qualifications. I am a hard-working person totally motivated to achieve my goals which is proven from the fact that I achieved first class grades not only for the Accounting and Finance Module but as overall grade for my complete education. During my experience as a student and as a part of the academic staff, I had the opportunity to gain skills such as teamwork, interpersonal skills, organisational skills, and time management skills while working as Student Learning Assistant (SLA) and Student helper. An evidence of my achievement is the Certificate that I was awarded with for being one of the five best SLAs (Student Learning Assistants) of the Business School at university.
During my work experience in the Orientation and Induction weeks from my job as a Student Helper, I gained a set of valuable skills that I think are vital for this position. Involving time planning, problem solving skills, communication and team work skills I managed to be successful in my role which included providing help in Online enrolment and ID checking, dispensing university ID Cards and so on. Furthermore I did get on well with my role in the library while working as a part of the Unihelp Team for meeting any student queries related to their education including courses; changing modules, fees, finances, timetables; making appointments to see university advisors etc. Moreover, I did well with the role of Student Learning Assistant (SLA) where I worked with the Tutor in the seminar classes to raise students’ aspirations, build study skills, and encourage them to continue with and complete their studies successfully. During my experience as a student, I felt appreciated as I received valuable support from my lectors and seminar tutors such as guidance for individual, group works and any other help that contributed to complement my knowledge gained from the learnt subjects.
