Programming Languages – I have spent time using Arduino C, which is a mix between C and C++, programming a micro-controller to be used for a reactions test game. I have used Java programming for a project creating a kennel system, to check in different animals, using inheritance, reading and writing files and I undertook another project to develop a card game.
Team Player – This year I took part in a group project with 7 other students to create a task management system – this involved creating a website, a java client, a database to support the whole system and supporting documentation. I was largely involved with the website design and implementation along with a few other roles such as creating documentation to explain the user interface design.
Time Management – As a Community Carer I had to be punctual, arriving at client’s houses on time. So I had to manage my time and workload efficiently in order to arrive at each client’s house on time. When I worked as a kitchen porter, tasks had to be done within a set timeframe so that the restaurant looked its best and there was enough kitchen equipment ready for chefs to use. I also have a lot of experience with time management as I have always got university assignments in on time and to a high standard.
