████ ████████'s CV

I am a recent graduate of psychology and criminology and I would like to apply for a role in the creative industries and I believe my skills and experience I gained during my degree and the year since has suitably equipped me for such a role.

My most recent role as an office manager at a small fin-tech start-up company has given me experience working in a full-time office role. My role here was broad; I carried out administrative work for the team, using Microsoft Office, furthering my skills in these programmes. I also acted as a PA to the CEO of the company by assisting him in meetings.
I undertook a number of projects such as creating a staff induction booklet for new starters. This developed my written ability as well as confidence in approaching people. Other projects I carried out included analysis comparing competitor advertisements and meeting and greeting guests and clients.

This position also allowed me to shadow the marketing team, whereby I was introduced to some key digital- creative marketing strategies, such as AB testing, compiling a competitor comparison chart, and discovering the thought process behind the company’s branding.

During my time at university, I was president of the music society for two consecutive years, whereby I organised rehearsals and a number of events for the society, including one for the ‘Great Escape Festival’, whereby 11 bands played and over 100 people attended. I was required to update the facebook page, university page, and advertise gigs online and with physical media. This demonstrated that I am organised and willing to work to deadlines.
Being in an acoustic duo has also forced me to think carefully about our marketing strategy; creating a captivating website, understanding basic SEO, designing business cards, and designing an attractive logo.

I am confident that I can bring my enthusiasm and willingness to work, as well as my skills,to my next role.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss my application further.
