To Whom It May Concern,
I have currently graduated with a BSc higher upper second in Economics & Management Joint Honours at Aston Business School. I completed my placement year working with a Spanish company called Activa in Castilla y Leon and I am applying for a graduate role within your company.
I participated in a university module called The Business Game as Financial Marketing Director and learnt to manage and balance my views with other members of my team in order to achieve profits. The module enabled me build confidence and make influential decisions, which benefitted my team and our customers. For this reason, I would love to work within a team to continue to strengthen my teamwork strategy while achieving a common goal.
I am a well-organized person who likes a challenge in a project and I work tirelessly to sort out data, handle issues and achieve a profitable and successful result. I strived to gain the Corporate Relations Manager role for Aston’s Economic society. I was going against a lot of competition but I succeeded by prioritizing, doing my research and staying one step ahead.
I have developed my organizational skills over the past few years after working as a Sales Associate at Burberry Selfridges Birmingham and a Sales Associate/Visual Merchandiser for Sole Trader shoe store in Birmingham. This involved liaising with other store branches to pick out which shoes will sell and also arranging the store in order to attract customers, increase sales and maximize profits. I had this job while still attending lectures in my university, final year was the toughest so in order to be on top of my work, I had to plan ahead and balance my time wisely.
I succeeded by prioritizing and never procrastinating when it came to meeting tight deadlines. I developed intense communication skills because on the shop floor I had to communicate confidently with customers from all walks of life and all parts of the world, find out what they need while using the power of persuasion to encourage them to make purchases.
I learnt Spanish when I moved to Spain this year for my placement and even though I am not 100% proficient, I have an A2 level while still getting better and better. I came to Spain to teach English while learning Spanish. In the meantime, it has opened a lot of doors for me and I look forward to using this knowledge in any job field. I was also able to prove to myself that if I put my mind to anything I could succeed.
I am readily available for interviews and would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further. I look forward to hearing from you.
