███████ ███████'s CV

Background

I have always had a keen interest within the manufacturing sector as it is one of the most vital industries worldwide. Choosing to study a Chemical Engineering degree encouraged my interest within this sector, but also into process efficiency and management. Being able to think like an engineer has enhanced my problem-solving and analytical skills. I am currently studying a part-time project management course for beginners (PMI accredited) in order to enhance my management, leadership and team work skills.
I am a hardworking individual that encourages constructive feedback during tasks as this is a vital stage for personal development. In the past, I have always requested feedback as it gives me the opportunity to work on myself and enhance the skills I already possess. But I also encourage my colleagues to work on their weaknesses too as any opportunity to better yourself and your team will benefit the team in the long run. I particularly enjoy using my initiative when working individually but I do simultaneously reap the benefits of working within a team.
Outside of academics and work experience, I love taking part in charity work and fundraising events for Cancer Research, or Children in Need. I have previously raised more than £1000 for children who live in an orphanage located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where I stayed for a period of 13 days to organise social and educational events for the children. Such as, sports day events, arts and crafts, cooking classes and taking group trips for water activities. Other volunteer work I take part in includes working at the local temple to cook and distribute food to the community, tutoring GCSE students in mathematics, and raising awareness for Cancer Research.
To conclude, these experiences have shaped me into a more versatile, and well-rounded individual who can adapt to any environment. Being able to absorb information quickly and using my initiative has improved my ability to ensure the best possible outcome on various projects, whether they are academic, work-related or simply volunteer work.
