I graduated from Newcastle University in August 2016 with a first class honours degree in Computing Science. During my time there I completed a wide range of modules covering many computing fields which has given me a diverse knowledge of IT including databases, networking and security. I have always been passionate about computing and the future of technology, I regularly read articles and books related to emerging technologies and concepts.
I am confident that my technical ability and interpersonal skills are suited to what any Analyst or Developer role will demand of me. I spent my industrial placement working as a SAP Business Analyst for Newcastle University which gave me a great amount of team working experience. During the placement I was exposed to the NU Service Desk where I was responsible for responding to incidents and service request tickets. I worked closely with the users of Student Systems to provide the best customer service possible. Completing an annual patching project required effective communication with members of my own team and a number of individual projects required collaborating with members from other teams, using each other’s strengths is vital to reach our objectives. I believe that being outside of one’s comfort zone is the only time when they truly develop as a person, I have demonstrated both in my professional career and personal life that I enjoy to not only work outside of my comfort zone but actively seek to remove myself from it. Cycling across Europe and travelling in India, as a solo traveller, are two recent experiences that demanded constant decision making as well as exposing me to new environments and social situations.
