███████ ███████'s CV

Background

For my final year project I empirically calculated an optimal hedging method using S&P 500 stock prices from 2014, and a dataset of over 25,000 options. Researched financial quantities behind market behaviour, considered benefits and draw back of different modelling assumptions for volatility, and its effect on the stock price. Calculated the hypothetical profit under each set of assumptions for comparison.

During my degree I completed two work placements. As an Actuarial Assistant at Reliance and Mutual, I analysed and compared large excel spread-sheets of pricing data from the old company model to an updated one and presented the effects of each individual step in an organised way. My other work placement was at the Office of National Statistics Time Series Department analysing time series data to review modelling methods. I delivered a presentation on LaTeX typesetting software to the department and produced a report explaining Temporal Disaggregation methods used by the software.

My other work experience involves customer facing in retail, and currently volunteering at the North Devon Hospice Shop providing assistance on the shop floor and supporting with new volunteer introductions to the charity. During all my work experience I have remained approachable with each duty or task and always aimed to achieve the highest standards of customer services.

Through work placements and study I have gained experience working with various multi data management systems and most recently completed Sage training at a professional level. I am confident I can bring a high level of expertise with me to your organisation and help the company build upon their excellent reputation within all areas of the business. Add to this my enthusiasm and self-motivation I believe my academic ability and previous work experiences will be an excellent contribution.

I am available to attend an interview given short notice, fairly flexible with business location, and settings.
