Finished studying at the University of Kent, Canterbury for an MSc International Accounting and Finance with a Distinction. Also a have a upper second class Ba (Hons) Accounting and Finance degree at the same university.
I am aspiring to work for a company where l would get to work with numbers, data and analyse them and get to make big decisions based on them. To be involved in such decisions would be a great experience and I understand the responsibility that accompanies the decisions.
I am good with numbers, creative, have very good ICT skills (with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint) and keyboard skills. I have studied French and German both at GCSE level and continued with French at AS-level. I am a hard worker, a good team player, have good listening skills and willing to learn something new.I play the keyboard at my local church most Sundays and am part of the music team as a vice uniform coordinator.
I also like to draw, play computer games, listen to music and watch sport particularly tennis. I would like to one day watch live tennis here at Wimbledon or either the Australian Open, Roland Garros or the US Open. I am inspired by some great tennis players because of what they have done, for example charity work, starting their own businesses, building schools and academies in developing countries. I have been to France and Germany and hope to go more places in the future because of my job as well as for holidays like Dubai and USA.
My proudest academic achievement is getting to my first choice university, which was the University of Kent, Canterbury. I had to work really hard in my final year of college. As my AS-level results had not been what l had hoped for. I had to particularly work hard in my Maths subjects. My Core maths was good but my Statistics needed a bit more work. I did this by asking my friends, attending workshops during and after school and asking teachers for help. And the results showed at the end of the year my Stats grade jumped form an E to a B. This improved my whole Maths A-level grade from C to B.
I am also particularly proud of my GCSE results. Got an A*, 6 A’s (including Maths, ICT, English Language, Sciences) and 2 B’s. The only B’s I got were for languages French and German. I was really pleased and only got 3 C’s overall.
My proudest personal achievement is being given one lesson on how to play the keyboard. And after that l was able to play and teach myself to play the keyboard. And from then on l have been part of the music team in my church for more than 2 years.
