████ ███████'s CV

Background

During my undergraduate study, I was given a 12500-word research project. The project involved assessing the movement of tides on the Severn Estuary using a Zero dimensional model to calculate the reduction in tidal range of the estuary with the presence of the barrage. The panel that evaluated my thesis rated it as 65%, stating that it was "clearly reasoned, with detailed evidence of calculations, demonstrating a good knowledge of research and project write up". Working on University projects with fellow students has enhanced my critical thinking skills, improved my active learning and given me an experience that prepares me for the working environment. As a student with varied work experience, I mentored students hoping to study Engineering at university, nurturing them through fun engineering projects that helped inspire them to study science and engineering. I also worked in the mechanical service design department at Unecon Associates Ltd, which improved my ability in all aspects relating to design systems on AutoCAD and problem solving techniques. As a result of my varied work experience and skills, I am motivated by my belief that I am a strong candidate for technical roles.
