██████ ███████'s CV

As a second year LLB Law student at Bournemouth University, I am seeking to develop my skills further in my third year of study by gaining a legal placement. I already have a great passion for the the legal system and much of the work associated with it, particularly although not limited to a corporate environment.

I am a confident and outgoing person who has a great range of skills both in and out of a work which has stemmed from a range of life experiences from a very young age. These experiences have enabled to me to be highly effective as a leader of a team and as a part of one. This attribute was developed in over 5 years in the Royal Air force Cadets starting as a cadet and working my way up through the ranks. These leadership skills have been further utilized recently working for climax promotions as a Senior Promoter leading over 50 people to meet weekly sales targets with fierce competition.

Moreover, my competitive nature is something I like to utilize within work as well as out of it, I welcome targets and challenges from an employer in order to better myself which is something I am excited to receive more of whilst on a legal placement, however, even in my current part time job at Peter Werth I often not only achieve my daily sales targets set for me but also exceed them, and on occasion have even met the weekly sales targets in a day. This competitive side has also been established outside of work and a and one example which I am particularly proud of is representing the Great British Powerboating Team in 2013 at the Thundercat Racing World Championships and achieving a 3rd in the world, after my first year of racing.

However, although competition within a sporting environment is vitally important to me challenging myself academically and mentally is also a key part of my life which is why I am a member of both Bournemouth University debating society and Bournemouth university law society. Being a part of these societies have enabled to me to develop a number of skills, however, one which stands out the greatest is the ability to communicate confidently and to present ideas. Drawing upon these skills public speaking is something I thoroughly enjoy and look to utilize whilst on my internship.

Overall I believe myself to be a thoroughly well rounded character who strives for excellence in all attributes of life; therefore, wanting to develop myself further a legal internship is something which I am truly excited by the prospect of, in order to gain greater understanding of the legal system in a practical environment.
