██████ █████'s CV

Currently working as a sales assistant I have developed skills in time management, teamwork and leadership. In addition, I take part in many extra-curricular sporting activities, often representing my school. I regularly take part in local multicultural community events which involve a range of responsibilities including handling money intake, helping organise social events and promoting events.

I am driven to overcome mathematical problems and which requires a logical method of thinking. There is so much more to mathematics than just numerical values; it is an infinite and captivating subject which I never fail to find engaging. Statistics is vital in the analysis of economic situations and although not being in my syllabus, I can appreciate the use of different statistical techniques, such as sampling.

I consistently exceeded my target grades and know that my self-motivation will continue when entering the real world. I aspire to work within the financial sector and excelling at university will further my prospects of doing so. I am eager to enhance and better my knowledge, for the opportunities that will allow me to prosper in the future

By keeping up to date with the global markets, and with my understanding of economics, I can assess the global impact of policies and how they affect the economy as a whole. Over last summer I read books in both mathematics and economics such as 'The truth about markets' by John Kay and 'Mathematics from the birth of numbers' by Jan Gullberg, which has amplified my curiosity of how people utilise them in the real world.

I've always wanted to enter the financial sector from very young age, because its the only place that suits my high minded ambitious brain! I feel from my achievements and my University experience, this financial sector experience will allow me to prosper in the future and achieve those goals that I have set.
