████████ █████'s CV

I am a proactive, capable and commercially aware graduate with broad-ranging communications and external relations experience, I recently obtained a first-class honours degree in International Relations and Management from the University of Exeter. As part of my degree I spent a year studying in Canada at the University of Waterloo. The experience demonstrated my adaptability in adjusting to a new and academically demanding environment.

I have gained extensive professional work experience through the course of three internships. My most recent position with the Federation of Master Builders, the largest trade association in the building industry, gave me an insight into the activities of an in-house public affairs team. In this role I developed skills in engaging with members and MPs, as well as the ability to understand and concisely summarise complex material.

I have also obtained relevant experience in corporate communications whilst interning with an international NGO; where I developed my writing skills and my ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively. One of my key accomplishments was the managing of the organisation’s global social media output for a number of weeks. My previous internship with a PR agency enhanced my skills in media relations; I was tasked with responsibilities for selling in press releases and pitching products to magazines. During my time with the agency I successfully secured regional press coverage for Lavazza.
