█████ █████'s CV

I am a history undergraduate seeking a new, challenging position of the possibility of voluntary work experience or a internship or placement available sometime over the next two years before I entail in a GDL course in a further year of study.

My aims in terms of gaining legal work experience are to be able to develop my skills and gain valuable experience that will help me achieve my long-term goals of employment as a future Solicitor. Particularly, I have a strong interest in becoming a legal aid solicitor, because I believe that in today’s society in a lot of people who genuinely cannot afford the legal representation when they have been wronged in everyday matters. Furthermore, legal aid solicitors are needed because again in everyday society their rights are abused by employers and house sellers for their own personal selfish gain. Legal aid solicitors diminish the gap between the rich and the poor in the face of justice, because this occupation whilst very demanding does work for people who have grievances but cannot afford the cost involved in the filing of a case or the services of a solicitor. I decided to become a solicitor due to the excellent opportunities for progression and the career structure offered by the profession. I want a career that is intellectually demanding as the idea of being constantly challenged greatly appeals it what drives me to be successful in my future career. There is plenty of opportunity to work in a team and with clients, of which I am already used to and enjoy working with as I believe that working in a team makes completing objectives much easier, which is a vital part of the career of a solicitor. With this being said therefore, I would love the opportunity to see what being a solicitor is like, so that I can gain a better an even better understanding of the career that I wish to pursue in life.

Furthermore, I strongly believe this particular placement would set a highly relevant foundation in giving me not just the necessary skills, but the further valuable and crucial skills and experience needed for me to achieve my career goal of becoming a Solicitor, setting the relevant foundation to my rather needed experience in field of Law. The skills I will develop will provide me with the skills that a career of a solicitor demand, such as client casework and immigration training, allowing me to gain a broader perspective of and gain more knowledge about the work of a lawyer in the world today. It would allow me to gain more personal integrity, which along with the gained ethnical approach will give me more of a sense of professional responsibility, which forms the basis of solicitor and client relationships.

I highly look forward to any information with regards to upcoming opportunities
