Dear Human Resources Manager,

My career spans over a period of six years working in small to medium sized projects in higher education and business sector.

Currently I am conducting research in academic field at the University of Lincoln, where I am working on Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques on a large patient dataset.

I worked as a Software System Developer at London Metropolitan University, this role has allowed me to liaise with different levels of contacts internally and externally, demonstrate my ability to work in a large team-setting environment and also has allowed me to accumulate diverse range of experiences focusing on my ability to obtain information from clients and provide support to various faculties. One of the key achievements is to reduce £60K cost by automated the manual process of Alumni Relations and Development department. I also designed, developed and implemented 35 front pages on university official website. These skills would be beneficial to support the IT related role, as it would help me to work effectively contributing to the project in a team setting environment and to provide high level of expertise in day to day basis.

I led a group of four members for final year project and oversaw the technical process for Online Library Management System where I learnt valuable lessons notably analysing survey data, designing core functionalities, instant search engines and users’ panels. I also led a masters’ level small group research project in the field of e-Health technologies in final year of my degree where I conducted the research, designed and developed an idea to manufacture a portable medical device that would help pregnant women to get ultrasound scan at home and get treatment from specialist doctor using 3G/4G in developing countries.

In addition, I have successfully organised several events such as Apple Products and Software Development at Apple UK headquarter in 2010, Working for Intel event in 2011 and IET Technical Workshop in 2012. I was awarded “Excellence of Work” award by IET for the contribution to IET Enterprise Event and also awarded “Best Welcome Team Member” for successfully coordinating Student Welcome Week for a university.

I believe and hope that, on consideration of my profile, curriculum vitae, any IT related role would be a great fit for me as I strongly believe I have the required skills and experiences to support the role and you will be persuaded of my potential to perform well, which can be judged through any given opportunity at your organisation.

I would like to thank you for your time and consideration. I can be available for interview at any time.

Yours sincerely,

Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman
