As seen from my resume, much of my experience has been grassroots-based. Perhaps my most relevant and professional experience is as a founding member of New Street Records, which is a student-run business based at The University of Birmingham. Currently I am the Head of Digital Marketing, and since our inception in February 2015, we have secured media coverage from Birmingham Mail and BBC West Midlands as well as other publications. I was responsible for establishing an effective marketing campaign for its launch and growth, largely using social media and online channels, as well as overseeing the recent expansion to the Manchester universities. As a result, I have a strong foundation and understanding of modern marketing techniques, as well as experience in branding businesses and customer service. I developed my team-working and leadership skills here by delegating and overseeing projects to team members to ensure that the business were constantly engaging with consumers.
Outside of the working world, I see myself as a rather well-rounded individual. I enjoy art and design work, particularly in photography and design and have taught myself to use the Adobe Suite, and basic coding languages. I enjoy keeping up with cutting-edge technology news, and the growth of startups.
