As a fashion enthusiast, I wish to pursue a career within the fashion industry and develop a better understanding of the running of a company. I love fashion as I view it as a method to market yourself.

I read fashion blogs and magazines to find the latest beauty and fashion trends. I’m intrigued by the inspirations from the high end catwalks and how they influence high street fashion and how people style themselves. I enjoy reading fashion and beauty blogs for reviews and to see how others wear trends and where they shop.

I recently graduated from the University of West London with a degree in Advertising. I learnt the importance of of delivering innovative, engaging and effective communications to appeal the target market. During my degree I worked on various client briefs, these projects required us to produce advertising campaigns and present the creative ideas and account plans to clients. One of my biggest achievements is when a client (Chiswick Buzz) was so impressed with our pitch, they used the idea for their campaign. It was surreal seeing our ideas come to life.

Working on these projects has improved my communications, team working and problem solving skills. Working in groups displayed the importance of responsibilities and communicating within a team. The projects also required us to learn new skills within a deadline, including filming and editing, in order to present ideas as effectively as possible.

For my final year project, I set out to produce a form of fashion video that innovates fashion marketing. With the plan to produce a fashion film that ties in with product information, the intention is to better my understanding of the process to develop a form of fashion marketing. Not only does the fashion film focus on the abstract designs, but also the visual experience of the story told within the film. The project documents the research and inspiration to develop the fashion film. This was a huge accomplishment as I took a risk, I had little to no experience in film making and had a limited time to learn and understand the process.

Fashion is fast-paced and constantly changing, I wish to work in this industry as it's exciting yet challenging where innovation is a key element. I wish to gain experience and knowledge about the running of a fashion company to eventually work within the marketing team and hopefully direct my own fashion marketing campaign.
