I am a student who studies joint honours History and History of Art at the University of Glasgow. I am creative, conscientious, and have lots of initiative. My communication skills are well practised and I enjoy working with other people. I currently work at Waitrose and have previously worked for Boots thus I have the experience of having a busy schedule and balancing a large workload. Working at these companies has also honed my customer service skills as well as my selling skills. I have a strong work ethic and pride myself on always being professional and always willing to learn more. I have participated in several team-building workshops and I am able to work well in a team environment and I am enthusiastic and determined in everything I do.
Having lived in Beijing for four years, I was able to gain great experience with communicating in an international country and working with people from all around the world. I was lucky enough to take part in work experience with Time Out Magazine Beijing, where I wrote headlines and reviews for art and culture based events. I currently write for the Glasgow University Magazine, specifically reviews and fashion articles. I am a member of the Press and Marketing team for Glasgow University Charity Fashion Show where as a team we communicate with major press outlets in the UK and organise meetings and sponsorship. Sales of the tickets are our main focus, as well as promoting the organisation through social media.
