I am a student nearing graduation trying to gain as much experience as I can, developing my skills in writing, public relations and communications in order to develop my possibilities for my future.
I was born in the Netherlands before moving to South Africa and then finally to England where I spent time in a number of different locations across the country. Being constantly in a state of flux, I was able to develop excellent communication and people skills dealing with individuals from any and all backgrounds.
Working for five consecutive summers in a language school I was able to broaden my communications skills as I was forced to interact with non-native English speakers with a low level of English. I was also able to improve my organisational skills and management skills as I was then later promoted to Senior Leadership Team as Leisure Coordinator.
My time spent in Australia forced to make connections in order find work- this allowed me to develop my networking skills. At this point in my life, I see constant development as my real goal and I am excited to see where this approach will take me. I am ready to take on any challenge I can find.
I currently study International Communications and Media at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. For the past year and a half I also work as a freelance writer and monthly blogger for Erasmus Magazine. Here I have been able to further develop my skills as a writer, researcher and journalist. I have had the opportunity to work with a really fantastic team of people who have taught a lot.
