The role will be to support the varied work of the Thales UK business and will include elements of network and system administration, software development, event planning, contributing to the design and execution of complex synthetic environment experiment and demonstrations. Travel to other Thales and customer sites in the UK and abroad is likely.
This role will be part of Thales UK Corporate HQ and provides support to the winning of new business by Thales UK. Focusing on opportunities where the customer need is complex or involves new ways of working, UK BTC helps to develop an understanding of the customer’s world and optimising solutions accordingly. Working with all of the Thales UK domains providing a conduit for cross fertilisation of ideas, encouraging collaboration, innovation and re-use. The UK BTC provides a dedicated team of specialists, focused on facilitating the winning of new business through engagement, analysis and visualisation.

Windows XP, 7, Server 200x
Alcatel-Lucent routers / switches
Experience of virtualisation and thin clients (e.g. VMware, PCoIP)
Linux (esp. Redhat)
Cisco and other routers / switches
Studying for BSc / MSc in a STEM-related discipline - e.g. computer science, engineering, maths, physics.
