Job Description Travelport’s Strategy Internship aims to offer a challenging professional working experience in a Global corporate environment.
You will be exposed to a whole range of real-world strategy issues – growth strategies; market entry; mergers and acquisitions, portfolio optimisation; competitor analysis -our programme covers a variety of areas within key corporate departments. Our internships run for a minimum of 3 months, and can be extended to suit specific circumstances and internal project needs.

So what could I be doing?
Within the role, you would be working with a wide range of colleagues assisting with a challenging range of analysis and problem solving within and beyond the Commercial areas of the business. You will be required to gather facts and information to help drive the management plans and make key strategic decisions, as we maintain the growth of the business.
You will work on projects using insight and data analysis to identify opportunities for investment or increased effectiveness, including, but not limited to reviews of products or product portfolio, market research and sizing, investment analysis, post-project reviews, customer and supplier strategies and improving ways of working.
You will then play a part in building presentations and preparing for key management meetings where your recommendations will be discussed and decided upon.
and what are my attributes?
The right candidate will be bright and ambitious, likely on their way to a career in a corporate environment in consultancy; a graduate programme in industry or corporate finance. You should have a high proficiency in numeracy skills, and have experience in using Microsoft office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. You should be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy.
Additionally, good personal skills should equip you to challenge the status quo and be able to challenge the work in front of you and improve it. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are important for this role. You must be enthusiastic and have a driven approach, and be able to work in a flexible and highly deadline orientated environment.
This role is primarily aimed at students who have recently graduated from a degree in Economics/Business; Maths; Physics; Finance or a related discipline, though undergraduate applications will also be considered for short term placements.
