This position will support competitor and market analysis to help provide information to sales teams and senior leaders in order to make informed business decisions.

Analysing market trends, market segmentation, and researching into future market opportunties

Work closely with the Market Intelligence team and internal sales teams globally to determine market size and share information.

Researching and compiling Competitor Overviews into competitor activity

Providing input into Cummins Generator Technologies’’ 5 year simulation, through researching into market growth trends and competitor activity

Providing support to the New Product Development process by conducting market assessment and segmentation analysis

Developing and maintaining a database of Market Intelligence iformation by working cross functionally with various global teams

Ensuring the effective development of “Market News Alerts” the weekly market intelligence communication to internal stakeholders


A comprehensive induction programme as well as role specific training.

Individual training to suit particular business skills required by the business or identified by the candidate.





Studying for a relevant Degree in Business, Marketing or similiar discipline


Minimal required


Excellent interpersonal, organisational, analytical and time management skills

Ambition, flexibility and confidence coupled with creativity, imagination, a desire to learn and a willingness to take on responsbility

Excellent communication skills- experience of working with different cultures and languages an advantage

Excellent IT Skills; particularly Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

Multilingual skills would be an advantage

As part of the Graduate & Placement Scheme you will be given a detailed workplan along with structured quarterly reviews with your manager on your progress.

An individual development plan will also be developed to highlight any training needs
