We run an exciting 12 month placement where you are given an opportunity to owrk on real projects making a difference in your team and the company as a whole.
Working under the guidance of the PGBU Purchasing Finance Leader, the student will be involved with assisting in monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes; active support and interaction with the Global Purchasing group.
Review of monthly actual results.
Review and consolidation of monthly Forecast submission and Annual Operation Plan (AOP).
Monitor and review managed expenses.
Assist in the monthly purchasing business review cycle and preparation of the associated business pack.
Assist in the development of the Purchasing Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Active involvement and business partner support to the PGBU Global Purchasing function.
Develop and maintain a capital expenditure monitoring tool.
Active support in the Stamford Plant Annual Stock Take.
A comprehensive induction programme as well as role specific training.
Individual training to suit particular business skills required by the business or identified by the candidate.
SKILLS & REQUIRED:
Currently studying an Honours degree in Accountancy/ Finance/ Economics/ Business Studies.
Good knowledge of spreadsheet and database software is desirable.
IT skills in programmes including: Word, Excel, Power Point and use of emails.
Good numerical skills.
Ability to communicate in a range of ways across all levels of the business.
Willingness to learn.
To be eligible for our 12 month work placement you must be a university student who has a placement year option as part of their degree programme. You will spend a year in a specific department to gain real experience in your subject area. You are supported by formal and informal training, and work on projects that add true value to the business. As part of the programme you have the opportunity to be involved in our bursary scheme, which recognises those placement students who have contributed significantly to the performance of the company both on improvement initatives and their overall performance during the course of their placement assignment.
